FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — Crossfit Mouse turned a pocket trip into a 1:55 win in Wednesday’s (Feb. 19) feature at Rosecroft Raceway, an $8,500 conditioned trot.

Owner-driver Corey Braden secured the pocket with Crossfit Mouse behind stablemate Timestorm (driven by Jared Moyer) through a :27.2 first quarter. After stalking a sustained duel between Timestorm and 9-5 favorite Mind Yown Business (Johnathan Ahle) through the far turn, Braden cut Crossfit Mouse loose up the open stretch, and the 8-year-old Muscle Mass gelding surged forward to win by a half length. Dowedealinandwhy circled four-wide from last to narrowly collar Timestorm for second.

Stacey McLenaghan trains Crossfit Mouse, who paid $7.00 to win as the 5-2 second choice.

Braden led all drivers with three wins on the 12-race program while McLenaghan and Jason Walters each fashioned a training double.

Live racing returns to Rosecroft on Monday (Feb. 24) with a $1,541.53 Jackpot Hi-5 carryover in the evening’s 10th race. First post is 7:15 p.m.
