The tandem kicked off their hat trick by winning the fifth race, a first-level conditioned trot, with Creekside Pete ($5.00, 1:57). In the ninth, an $8,000 conditioned pace for fillies and mares, Throw The Play ($6.80), whom Braden owns, closed a six-length gap through the far turn to catch the front flight, angled off the pegs above the eighth pole, and vaulted four-wide to reel in 6-5 favorite Kix Hanover by three-quarters of a length in 1:55.2. They came right back in the 10th race, a $7,000 upper-level conditioned trot, to post a gate-to-wire, 1:57.2 win with Timestorm ($11.60) for the partnership of David Jarvis and Aaron Waxman.
