Ft. Washington, MD —

William Carter and Illusion Seelster got every call as the four-year-old mare by State Treasurer, scored a six length win in the $12,000 Mares Open Handicap on Tuesday at Rosecroft.

The 19-year old Carter left from post five and scored a 1:53.2 triumph, on a track labeled good, with a minus two variant.

Maria Alvarez, who posted an opening night win with World Record holder Caviart Camden, entrusted Carter to handle the lines again for owner Terrance Smith. Alavrez also won on the card with Southwind Molly who was driven by Juatin Walters, who like Carter, won twice on the card.

Carter’s other win came aboard Defriended for Steve Wetzel, while the 20-year old Walters, netted a win for his Uncle Jason Walters with Kelsey’s For Real.

Trainer John Wagner conditioned three winners on the card as Trae Porter won with a a pair of Wagner Trotters in Saylor and Swan Harbor. Corey Braden guided Wagner’s other winner with Race Eye. Porter picked up a third win in the finale with Beach Boutique for Johnny Crites. Stacey McLenaghan guided Wagner Spee Dee Shark to a third consecutive win.

Johnathan Ahle posted a double with Miss Lucy Ivy for Steve LeBlnce and owner Robert Cacamese and Creme De Lou Creme for Mackenzie Kiel.
