The Maryland Racing Commission at its Oct. 31 meeting approved a request from the Maryland Jockey Club for 2024 racing dates at Rosecroft Raceway.
The request is similar to those of recent years, with live racing from January through May and September through December. There are no specific dates as yet for the fall meet.
The winter meet (Jan. 23-March 28) will offer 21 nights of racing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be 13 nights of racing during the spring meet: Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 2-30, and the following month there will be racing May 7 and 14 (both Tuesdays) and May 4 and 18 (both Saturdays). First post time for all programs will be 7:15 p.m.
The MRC approved the 2024 racing schedule for Ocean Downs Casino earlier in October.
