Ft. Washington, MD — Driver Roger Plante Jr. set the tone for the Tuesday night (Jan. 31) card at Rosecroft, sweeping the Daily Double on his way to four wins on the night.

Diehard Seelster ($6.40) made his first start of 2023 a winning one, taking the opener and winning for the second straight time for owner Jerry Zollo and trainer George Lange.

Ms Machingbird, piloted by Plante, finished off the Daily Double with a win in race two, returning $6.60 for owner and former Team USA, Maryland and Rutgers basketball star Carolin Oglesby and trainer Clyde Oglesby Jr.

Plante then steered Cutter Loose ($6.40) to a victory in race six for owner Jim Coughlin. The daughter of Stonebridge Terror has only missed the board one time in her last seven starts.

Plante finished off the night winning the finale with Need Ur Opinion, scoring a $22.20 payout to her backers. Steve LeBlanc trains for owner Robert Cacamese.

Crossfit Mouse made his 2023 debut a winning one for owner-driver Corey Braden in 1:55.2. Stacey McLenaghan trains for Braden who halted Creekside Pete’s two race win streak in Rosecroft’s featured trotting event for $13,000.

Nineteen-year old Justin Walters had a driving double, notching a win with Bardmiry for Michael Patterson and Kelseys For Real for owner/trainer Jason Walters.

Adrian Wisher Jr., Neil Glasser and David Rearic won races in the Mid-Atlantic Amateur Drives Club. Rearic, driving for his son David, won with Hi Sir, the first 15-year-old to win at Rosecroft. The popular veteran pacer won for the 65th time in his career and did it at an amazing 14-1!
