The Division of Correction offers work release opportunities to eligible inmates who have been deemed suitable to participate in programs while unescorted in the community. Work Release assists a returning citizen in preparing for release and reduces the likelihood of a return to incarceration. The main focus of our work release program is to provide a work experience that may continue after release.
Through the Division’s partnership with the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, and the Groom Elite certifications available to our population, we hope to engage in active job placement with local partners in Maryland’s Horse Community.
